Gameplay, cutscenes and observation

Rockstar describes An Extended Look as footage captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5. That statement establishes the source and capture environment, but it does not mean every shot represents direct player control. GTAFinder therefore separates written confirmations from actions observed on screen and avoids converting a cinematic moment into a promised free-roam mechanic.

Trailer 2 was also described as in-game PS5 footage made from equal parts gameplay and cutscenes. Together, the two publications provide the strongest official view of GTA VI so far. They confirm a detailed interactive world built around Jason and Lucia, while leaving important questions about controls, progression and mission structure unanswered.

Jason and Lucia as the playable center

Official material consistently places Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos at the center of the game. The footage follows both characters through domestic scenes, planning, travel and criminal assignments. Rockstar has not yet published a complete explanation of character switching, restrictions or the exact division of missions between them.

The safest conclusion is that the story and visible gameplay are built around the pair. Claims about instant switching anywhere, separate skill trees or mandatory cooperative play would go beyond the published evidence. GTAFinder will record those systems only when Rockstar explains them directly or provides unambiguous interface evidence.

Robberies, pursuits and security work

Official footage shows Jason and Lucia taking part in criminal collection work, entering buildings, escaping by vehicle and becoming involved in an assignment connected to a public event. Police pursuits, firearms and coordinated movement appear throughout Rockstar’s videos. These sequences establish the game’s crime-focused action without revealing the full mission catalogue.

A sequence can belong to a single scripted mission rather than a repeatable activity. For that reason, the guide does not label every visible job as a side business or every interior as freely accessible. Mission names, rewards, failure conditions and replay options remain unknown unless they are stated in official text.

Travel across a varied Leonida

Road travel, boats, beaches, rooftops, neighborhoods and wetlands connect the official presentation. Vice City, the Leonida Keys and Grassrivers are shown as distinct environments, while Rockstar’s destination profiles add Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga to the confirmed world. The footage supports a broad range of movement across urban and natural spaces.

Rockstar has not released the complete map or a technical description of world streaming, accessible interiors or travel times. Community reconstructions may help interpret sightlines, but they do not establish official scale. GTAFinder keeps those reconstructions separate from this gameplay record.

Cars, boats and weapons are visible

Cars, motorcycles, boats and several firearm classes appear in official media. A smaller set of vehicles and weapons has also been named through edition benefits, which gives those items a stronger attribution than an unidentified background model. The verified database links named items to their exact source.

Appearance alone does not confirm purchase price, performance statistics, customization depth or permanent ownership. The same rule applies to clothing and property: official footage can show outfits, garages or interiors without explaining the systems attached to them.

Systems Rockstar has not fully documented

Rockstar has not published a complete activities list, control scheme, economy, wanted-system specification, progression model, difficulty structure, save system or GTA Online plan for GTA VI. Individual interface elements visible in footage can be indexed as observations, but they should not be presented as a final manual.

This page will change whenever Rockstar publishes a gameplay article, support documentation or new footage. Until then, the most accurate answer is narrower than many online feature lists: GTA VI clearly contains character-led criminal action and extensive world traversal, while the rules surrounding those activities remain partly undisclosed.
