Rockstar published Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on 27 August 2026. The accompanying official description identifies the presentation as footage captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5 and calls GTA VI the biggest and most immersive evolution of the series yet. The presentation runs for roughly 26 minutes and is substantially longer than either numbered trailer. An Extended Look did not arrive as a conventional YouTube-only game reveal. Rockstar partnered with Netflix to debut the presentation to Netflix members first on 27 August 2026. Netflix described the release as the next part of the Grand Theft Auto story debuting with its members, while Rockstar’s official page now provides direct viewing links for both Netflix and YouTube. The Netflix listing identifies it as a 2026, 27-minute action presentation and makes it available globally to subscribers.

That distribution choice is notable because it positioned a major game presentation alongside Netflix’s film and television catalogue, giving the reveal the treatment of a global entertainment premiere. It does not mean that GTA VI itself is playable through Netflix, that Netflix is a confirmed launch platform or that the game forms part of Netflix Games. Jason and Lucia remain the center

The footage continues to frame Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as a partnership rather than two disconnected leads. They plan, travel, argue, work and recover together. The opening criminal pickup, the escape that follows and the later security assignment all reinforce the same idea: their relationship is the thread connecting the quieter scenes to the larger criminal story.

Rockstar’s separate character profiles provide the firm biographical foundation. Jason previously served in the Army and works for drug runners in the Keys, while Lucia is leaving Leonida Penitentiary and pursuing a more deliberate path toward the life she wants. The Extended Look adds context and tone around those published facts, but dialogue heard only in the presentation remains an observation rather than a separate promise about missions or player choice.

The presentation moves from dense residential and commercial spaces to rooftops, highways, waterways, beaches and wetlands. Vice City’s urban scale is contrasted with the lower, more open landscape of the Keys and Grassrivers.
