Rockstar has not published a file size
There is no verified gigabyte figure for GTA VI on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. Numbers such as 150 GB, 200 GB and 300 GB circulate because they sound believable for a major open-world game, not because Rockstar published them.
PC is even less certain. The platform has not been announced, so a PC install figure cannot be official.

The November 12 pre-load does not reveal the size
Digital console pre-orders can begin downloading on 12 November, one week before release. Rockstar confirmed the date without giving a file size.
A store can show reserved space before the final package is ready. That figure may not match the compressed download, installed game or launch-day update. GTAFinder will record each measurement separately when stable store data appears.

Why estimates disagree
Map area is a poor file-size calculator. Audio languages, video, texture quality, duplicated data, compression and optional packs can matter more than square mileage. Updates can move the number quickly.
Comparing GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2 gives historical context, but GTA VI uses a different asset set and targets newer hardware. There is no reliable multiplier.

How much space should you keep free?
Do not buy a drive around one rumoured number. If storage is already tight, clear enough room for your current library and leave working space for updates and temporary installation files.
