Confirmed: Rockstar or Take-Two said it
GTA VI launches 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is a single-player experience set across Leonida, centred on Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar has named six destinations and a supporting cast.
Standard costs $79.99 in the US and Ultimate costs $99.99. Eligible digital purchases can pre-load from 12 November. Each claim traces to a primary record in the everything confirmed hub.
02
Observed: visible, but not fully explained
Official footage can show a vehicle, weapon, animal, activity or interface. It proves the image exists in Rockstar’s marketing build. It may not prove the final mechanic, item name, player control or launch-day state.
Seeing one interior does not establish that every similar building is enterable. A character performing an action does not reveal the full system behind it.
03
Reported: journalism with a named basis
A reputable publication may report information from documents or people familiar with development. That can matter, but it is still not a Rockstar announcement.
Strong reporting explains what was checked and separates direct knowledge from interpretation. GTAFinder labels it reported and links the original publication rather than turning it into “confirmed.”
04
Community estimate: transparent work with assumptions
Map reconstructions are the clearest example. Researchers match landmarks, signs and camera angles to build provisional geography. The method can be careful while the scale remains uncertain.
Hardware predictions work similarly when they compare console architecture and older Rockstar ports. They are planning tools, not specifications.
05
Rumour: no reliable verification yet
Anonymous posts, unattributed screenshots, retail placeholders and repeated social claims belong here. A high share count does not improve the source.
Leaks can expose old assets that do not represent the final game. GTAFinder does not reproduce leaked media. If Rockstar later confirms the underlying point, we cite the new primary source.
06
Five checks before sharing a claim
Find the earliest source. Check its date. Read the exact wording. Identify whether the claim was stated, seen, calculated or inferred. Then ask what evidence would disprove it.
The verification policy documents confidence labels and corrections. Unknown is the correct status when evidence cannot support a clean answer.
- Official page or direct statement: confirmed.
- Visible in official media: observed.
- Credible third-party publication: reported.
- Transparent fan calculation: community estimate.
- No verifiable basis: rumour or unknown.
