01
Is GTA 6 available for PS4?
No. Rockstar’s current Grand Theft Auto VI product page and support article list PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the 19 November 2026 launch. PlayStation 4 does not appear in the announced platform list.
That is a current announcement status, not proof that a PS4 version was cancelled: Rockstar never announced one. The confirmed platform guide tracks any change to the official list.
02
What PS4 owners should check before buying
A listing marked PS5 is for PlayStation 5 hardware. Owning a PS4 or a GTA V copy does not add PS4 to GTA VI’s supported platforms.
Before pre-ordering, check the platform label on Rockstar’s official page and the PlayStation Store listing for your account region. A retailer image of a game case is not a PS4 compatibility statement.
03
Will Rockstar announce a PS4 version later?
Rockstar has given no PS4 date, edition or technical plan. A later announcement is possible in principle, but there is no official basis to promise one or estimate when it might arrive.
For the confirmed PlayStation release, read the PS5 guide. We will update this page only if Rockstar changes its published platform list.
